Dynamic Tracking Scan:

Dynamic Tracking is a revolutionary function in the field of 3d scanning. This ability enables you to keep scanning. Using the targets that have already been saved into the target frame, provided you can see enough targets you can scan on the move. This saves you time without having to create new scans every time you have to move the tracker as you can leapfrog around the object.
With this feature, you are able to move the system into difficult areas where you traditionally would not have been able to acquire data. Whether you have someone holding the tracker, moving the tracker on your own or changing the pitch/height of the tracker, this will significantly increase the quality of life whilst scanning from the simplest items, through to the most complex or large environments.

FreeScan Trak Nova includes a detachable handheld scanner. The tracker, FreeScan UE Nova, also serves as a handheld laser scanner with the largest FOV on the market, delivering unparalleled efficiency and flexibility.

Shining have provided information on two large scans that have been done with this system the first being the 40m wind turbine and the other a 120m scan of a mold in Germany with the scale bar being moved 40 times in the scan with a very impressive accuracy for the size of the scan.
Video Photogrammetry (VPG)
FreeScan Trak Nova system features SHINING 3D’s patented video photogrammetry (VPG), which eliminates the need for coded markers. By integrating photogrammetry technology with a calibration rod, it enables real-time marker verification through video capture. This ensures consistent volumetric accuracy and streamlines the setup process for efficient large-object scanning.
This functions by selecting the photgrammetry function and beginning the frame capture. Marker seperation is around the 500mm apart which means you can scan large objects with significantly less targets than other systems. If the item is large you can move the scale bar multiple times in this instance to ensure accuracy.
This mode also enables the re-use of the scale bar without the need to purchase more.
